Questions and Answers:

File Hosting (Not Worms File Submition):

Question: Is says that the file is already uploaded by another user. Can I still upload it?

Answer: To stop people from uploading other people's files, I made the filehosting not upload the file if it is the same filename as another user's file.
However, if you are the user that uploaded the file, click "Yes" to OverWrite and it will overwrite your file.

Question: Is there a max amount of files I can upload?

Answer: No. You may upload as many files as you want.

Question: I used Smiley Points to increase max upload filesize but it still will not upload? What is wrong?

Answer: Sometimes the server will not allow you to upload a certain size of a file over the web.
If this occurs, I could try and upload it for you if you send me the file over MSN or something and I will upload it for your manually.

Question: Can I upload files even if I'm not a member?

Answer: Yes, however you must unlock the file hosting by going to http://www.borntoworm.com/cclan/shop.php and using your Smiley Points (given to you by posting, submiting files, and posting on NES).

JukeBox and Jukebox Difficulties:

Question: Who Made The Jukebox?

Answer: Fatal Fanatic made most of the code for the jukebox. And thanks again Fatal Fanatic, for providing us with that. I did however change some of the code, but not that drastically.

Question: What browsers does the jukebox work in?

Answer: Only In Internet Explorer 5 or Higher.

Question: What do all the other buttons do on the JukeBox?

Answer: Here is a picture showing a letter beside each item. The letter legend is below the picture:

http://www.borntoworm.com/cclan/images/cclan_display.png

A-Go to Last Song
B-Play Song
C-Stop Jukebox
D-Go to Next Song
E-Choose Song Type (click on it and scroll the many choices)
F-Song Title
G-Volume (it works but not very well so i suggest you use ur own volume)
H-Exit

Question: I want a song added to the JukeBox. How would I be able to do this?

Answer: Just ask me at the Forum to add the song and if the members approve of the song, it will be added.
Please provide the song at the time of the post.

Question: How do I close the JukeBox?

Answer: You close it
by click the "X" button in the bottom of the screen. Like shown in
this picture:
http://www.borntoworm.com/cclan/lookhere.gif'

Contra Clan Website and Its Design:

Question: My god the site looks all white and mess up! What is wrong?

Answer: If you are using Mozilla or Opera, you may notice the site may look like:
http://www.borntoworm.com/cclan/uploads/Mcscreenshot.png
This is because your browser auto-changed the design to No-Design.
By going to view on either of those browsers and changing the design to your prefered design, you can fix this problem.
Choose either Compact Wormish Design or Winter Design.

Forums and Forum-ish Activities:

Question: Can I Mod the Forums?

Answer: You can mod the forums once you get 500 posts. Those people with 500 posts are called Posting Lords. They can pin topics, lock threads, edit posts, move threads, and other general moding activities.
If you are a leader with 500 posts, you have super mod powers, that allows you to edit users, as well as almost anything.

Question: Are there any rules at the Contra Clan Forum?

Answer: Rules:
-No Spamming
-No Creating Multiple Accounts
-Don't Fight with each other or flame others
-Have Fun!
Not too many rules. I don't see the need for very many.

W:A WormNet Gameplay:

Question: I see people with ranks and flaming bars on WormNet. Where did they get them, and how can I get them?

Answer: Ranks and flaming bars were taken out or WormNet years ago after a hacking incident. Thus, the people that have them now are using cheat programs. We here at Contra Clan generally frown upon this practice, as it is abusing the games to acheive a person's own ends. However, if after learning this you are still adamant about getting this program, search for leetf*ck on google.

Question: People can't join my games. What gives?

Answer: There are three cases here:

1) You are behind a router or firewall and havn't forwarded ports correctly. Go to this page to learn what to do:
http://forum.team17.com/showthread.php?t=16656&highlight=Forward+Ports

2) Your ip address isn't listed correctly. Go to this page to learn your IP address, and then put that in the network box before you try to go on WormNet:
http://www.whatismyip.org

3) You're setting password protection when it's not needed. Only put a password in the box if you want a chosen few to join your games, and then only if they actually HAVE the password.

Question: I see alot of specilized games on WormNet. Where can I find the rules?

Answer: Go to Bloopy's website to learn the rules, it has most of the gametypes.
http://bloopy.topcities.com/worms/gameplay.html

Question: Is there some way to ignore a person in the Page-Down Chat Box?

Answer: A way to ignore another persome and not see the text they are sending is: hold CTRL + F# (F# is the number of the persons name at the top right of the chat box). The name you are ignoring will become darkgrey. - To undo this just repeat CTFL + F#.
(They can see what you type though)

Question: How do I actually get on WormNet?

Answer: It's very simple.
1) Go to the main W:A menu.
2) Click on network play.
3) Click on the internet play button.
4) Double-click on the Team17 server in England, it should be the only one.
5) Double-click on login.
6) Put in a user name and password (pass is optional for now), and click OK.
7) There you have it, just double click on the channels and games and away you go!

Question: I've seen people write in different colours in Worms Armageddon Page-Down chat box on WormNet games. How?

Answer: There are very easy commands available in the Page-Down chat box: The Green text is displayed using the "/me" command. It will show your WormNet name before the text. The Yellow text is displayed when using the "/anon" command. (an anonymous msg) The Blue text is displayed when someone has whispered to you.
Do this by pressing F# which you can see in the far right of the chat box next to the peoples names. ex. F1, F2, etc.

Question: On WormNet there's a US flag beside my name which isn't my country. How can I change it?

Answer: To change your flag on WormNet to the desired flag you need to change your "Regional Settings", located in the Control Panel. To get there, click your Start Menu button and look for "Control Panel". Then open it and find Regional Settings. Double click it. From this point you have to select from a list of languages you may want to use, etc. WormNet uses the regional settings to display the correct flag.

Question: What the hell is Rope Knocking and how do I do it?

Answer: This refers to the way in which a player uses the Ninja Rope to "knock" one or more worms. Sometimes to make a pile. This is done by swinging near a worm and letting go of the rope right before you hit the worm. Therefore sliding into another worm and pushing him. This is mostly used in Rope-Shopper games to create a pile. In Worms Armageddon Rope Knocking can only be done online. In offline games rope knocking is disabled.

Worms Armageddon General Gameplay:

Question: How do I use airstrike weapons?

Answer: Simply right-click to select the airstrike type weapon from the weapons list. You will have an arrow appear on the screen. Left and right will control which direction the plane will fly. Clicking will execute the attack.

Question: How do I set grenade fuse length/bounce?

Answer: The number keys 1-5 will set the fuse to that many seconds. The + and - keys will set MAX or MIN bounce respectively.

Question: Where can I learn to do some rope tricks?

Answer: Go to this site:
http://www.worms.onlyhere.net/
Click the roper link. It has most of the rope tricks possible. Also, stay tuned here, because there might be a trick tutorial going up ;).

Question: What do I do with that rope?

Answer: It's simple. Pressing space will attach it to a wall. Here are the power level effects:
0 - No point in using.
1 - 45 degrees from horizontal, with one re-attach.
2 - 45 degrees from horizontal, with two re-attach.
3 - Full 90 degree range, with two re-attach.
4 - Full 90 degree range, with five re-attach.
5 - Full 90 degree range, with unlimited reattach.
Fire it at a wall to connect. Up and down change the length, left and right change the direction. You can build up alot of energy and really fling yourself across the map after a bit of practice.
To move around a bit more freely, hit space to detach, and then hit space again to fire the rope in whatever direction you're going to re-attach. Note: You MUST have at least one re-attach left to do this.
Finally, if you bounce off a wall or the ceiling while flying through the air (not too fast though), the parachute will activate itself if you selected it as your weapon after attaching the rope.

Question: How do I use that dammed bungie cord?

Answer: All you have to do is have it selected when you walk off a cliff. If the cliff is high enought that it would cause fall damage, the bungee will automatically be used. Down and up can somewhat affect the cord's length, and of course, left and right change direction.
To get back up, you'll have to build up some kinetic energy by going up and down, and back and forth like a rope.
Finally, be careful how you release. If the bungee is going too fast, you WILL sustain fall damage.

Question: How do I use the friggen parachute?

Answer: The parachute can be used in three ways:
1) You can manually open it by hitting space after jumping or falling off a cliff.
2) The parachute can automatically open after jumping or falling.
3) The parachute will open itself after you hit a wall or (lightly!) the ceiling while flying off a Ninja Rope.
The parachute is affected by the wind, so keep that in mind when opening it. You can speed up or slow your descent by holding down or up respectively. Also, pressing enter lets you drop certain weapons from the chute.

Question: How do I get extra options/cheats in Worms Armageddon (Jet Pack, Upgrades, Blood, etc.)?

Answer: In W:A you must complete certain things to get the cheats. Here's the list of requirements:

Laser Sight - Complete Mission 4 Jet Pack
Complete Mission 8 - Fast Walk, Complete Mission 13
Invisibility - Complete Mission 16 (works only on Worm Net)

Smiley Points:

Question: What's the amount of space I get once I have access to File Hosting?

Answer: You have unlimited space, meaning you can upload as many files as you want, as long as the size of the file is in the limit of what you have. You have buy a bigger file size limit at C1's Shop. :)

Question: How do you get smiley points?

Answer: You can get smiley points by posting (+1 SP), posting on NES (+2 SP), submiting files (+5 SP) and if you are a member of the clan, a bonus for winning a season of league. You can also donate SPs using the handy donation function!

Question: What are Smiley Points and what are they used for?

Answer: Smiley points are basically the currency here. The SPs have no value in the real world, but here you can buy stuff, such as file hosting, and file size increases.

Maps and Map Making:

Question: I downloaded maps but where do I put them?

Answer: Well most maps you downloaded are probably in .zip form. To extract and use the terrain (the .bit file) you need to get WinZip. You can download one from www.winzip.com. Once you have one of there programs installed you will be able to extract the .zip file to your C:Worms ArmageddonUserSavedLevels directory.

Question: I just imported a map into the game and its not centered and stuff. How do I fix this?

Answer: Well firstly save your map as .bmp. It works the best. If you save it as say .jpg it comes out too pixelly. Also the map MUST be 1920x696 pixels. Also make it black and white. But sometime the Worms game has glitches. So you could either download the BIT Monkey which could help. But if that doesn't try adding a bit of colour to the map. Not too much tho. And also leave a 16 pixel border around the left and 4 top and 2 pixel border on the right part of the map. And then when your done the map put it in the C:/Worms Armageddon/User/Import/ folder.
